"Lived there, was sad when I moved away"
This neighborhood may not be for everybody, but it was totally for me. The housing in this area is zesty, and separated, allowing every house to take on a personality of its own. Urban professionals and retirees alike, this neighborhood ran the entire rainbow of culture.
Like the rest of San Fransisco, it's very hilly. The area surrounding it has been filmed several times for highspeed chases in action movies, which attests to how dynamic the area is.
I lived here in 2007, and it was a very good experience. If I still lived in San Fransisco, this is where I would live.

Eagle St
"Awesome, but the price is above average"
Good place to live, especially for college kids. Walking distance from campus, and lots of public transit, so there's no need for a car. Beautiful houses and generally low prices (relatively speaking...it's still kinda pricey for a college student) The palm trees are nice too :)

Blodgett St
"Fantastic, sometimes a little noisy"
A fantastic place to live. Gets very noisy during game days, but that's alright since the community is outstanding.

Oakdale St
"Great community and neighborhood"
Wonderfuly kept houses, very pleasant area. Would recommend, even if slightly pricey. Within walking distance from Texas Southern University, but far enough away that a starting family will have no problem at all with the noise

"Great neighborhood for college kids!"
Walking distance from Texas Souther University, with great public transportation. The housing is nicely kept, and the community is great. Recommended for college students. I probably wouldn't live here with kids though

Great area on the "good side of the tracks." Perfect for college students. Nice, quality housing (especially for college kids). Would recommend, even if slightly pricey. Walking distance from Texas Southern University!

"Budget, but not so bad"
Budget living for obvious reasons; the place is a little unkept, but some people may enjoy it because it does have one nice thing...you can walk to almost anything you may need.
With a little community service, and some caring citizens, this place could be cleaned up and looking great

North Norwood St
"Post industrial dump"
Yikes, bad part of town. Would not recommend living here, or close to here. Even if you find a deal, I'd avoid this post-industrial area

"Nice community, relaxing landscaping"
A main through-fare, this street features nice community amenities. It outlines several nice communities, and has pleasant greenery, giving drivers and walkers a soothing feeling when passing through.

Tulane St
"Give it a few years, and it'll be back to its usual self"
This area seems to be one of those hit by the economic problems of 2008. Once a nice place to start raising a family, it seems to be caught mid-development. In a few years, if the economy improves, this place will be an incredible investment, and the street will return to its previous glory.
