Stay away from this place. There is nothing promising about this area. It doesn't have good night life, restaurants, or neighborhoods. It is a really ghetto area where I wouldn't go after sun down. If you are looking for a place to live AVOID this place. I would advise you don't even visit this area unless you have to.

This is a pretty nice area. It has some lively night life and the neighborhoods are really nice. One of the best things about this area is the restaurants. It has plenty of choices and most of them are new places because they are building up the area a lot lately. I think this is a great area and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to live at in Jacksonville.

This area is mainly a business area as far as I see it. The streets are filled with car dealerships and pawnshops. There are however plenty of restaurants and shopping places. I really wouldn't advise this area though. You can find a much nicer place to live, but if you are looking to go shopping then this is a nice place.

The shopping and restaurants are pretty good in this area. The downfall of this area is the apartments. They aren't all that great and they can get rather pricey. The people in this area though are very nice and that would be the only major upside of the Baymeadows area. You can find a better place to live five minutes from here and you would like it much more.

I don't live off of Gate Parkway directly but I have lived off of a street right next to it for nearly two years now. It is a great area. The rent can get a little pricey but it is well worth it to live in such a great area. About every community that is off of this street is great to live in. The shopping and restaurants are amazing. People in their 20s-30s should definetly look into living here.

I really love the Southside area. There are tons of restaurants, tons of shopping areas, and tons of great apartment areas to live at. One of the major factors of this area that make me like it so much is the night life. There are no official clubs but the bars and restaurants are amazing at night. This is definetly a singles area to live in but could be fun for couples too.

This area can be nice in certain areas but you want to for sure avoid living at Melrose Apartments. It is nice being right near UNF if you are planning on going to school. There is not much choice when it comes to shopping and eating though. You have to travel about 10 min to get to any new and good restaurants. Overall though I would suggest this area, but avoid Melrose.

Beach blvd can have its nice areas but it can also have its scary ones. Its a pretty big street but for the most part it is relatively nice. There are plenty of restaurants and places to shop all up and down Beach. I would advise to not go to any night clubs that are right off of beach though because it can get pretty scary.

I lived on this street from 2004-2006. It was a really nice street and now it seems to just be getting nicer. When i lived there, there were very few eating choices but lately they have really started to build some nice stuff around there. Also, shopping is starting to get much better there with new malls and a new Walmart and Target.

This is a nice street to live on. I've been in Jax for about 6 years now and this is my favorite area. It is right near three different malls, two movie theatres, and several different restaurants. The neighborhoods are very friendly and the night life is great every day of the week. Apartment prices can get a little pricey but it is well worth it.
