South Clinton St
"Close to everything you could possibly desire."
This street has such landmarks as the Presidential Towers (with a great market inside that has good prices, selection, and quality along with a nice Deli/salad bar). Located close to both the Union Station and Ogilvie/Northwestern/Citibank train stations and three blocks off of the Kennedy you can get anywhere you want to go in no time flat. There are a nice mix of restaurants in the area, though South Clinton has mostly fast food places like Panda Express. If you get a chance stop by 118 S. Clinton there are 2 good restaurants downstairs: 1) Baccino's which is a nice cozy Italian place that serves pizza by the slice during the day but it is only open until around 3 so get there early. 2) Dylan's is a good pub and grill similar in style to Boston Blackie's. There are plenty of beers to choose from and the vibe is always great in this place.

South Wells St
"Up and coming"
I work on South Wells and I honestly would not mind living on this street. There are a few condominiums being built or that have been built recently which look like good places to live if you are single, married without children or if you have kids and are able to afford private schools. The farther south you go the worse the street gets but up near 100 South to 400 South (around Congress Parkway) it is a decent area with quick access to the major expressways and it's only a short drive/ medium walk to get to Grant Park. There are plenty of fast food restaurants such as the Billy Goat in the area but there are nicer restaurants and small boutiques within a few blocks as well. Personally I do not think you can beat the Windy City.
