We have lived here for over a decade. There are only twelve houses on this block. Two families, three seniors, two childless couples and the rest are single professionals. Everyone seems to enjoy a kind of low keyed friendliness. Main Street in Manayunk is within walking distance,shopping is very good and eating out is even better but not particularly geared towards families. There is a lovely recreation center with a pool, art, sports and ceramics for children and adults, nearby. James Dobson elementary, the crown jewel of the School District, is one block away as is the train and septa.
