"West Broad is not so nice, East Broad is pretty nice."

Lots of businesses, many restaurants, and is mostly the main drag of Columbus. Runs into downtown, and is currently the only working bridge into downtown. It runs through downtown and out to the east side. East High School is located out on the east side on Broad Street. It's pretty nice, and if you can get to Broad Street, you can get anywhere.

"Used to be nice"

We have lived here for 30 years, and when we first moved in, it was a very nice neighborhood. But when they moved in Section 8 housing, and a lot of houses were forclosed or abandoned, the street went steadily downward. There have been numerous fires, crime is out of control, and we do not feel safe anymore.

"Seems to be very rundown"

Older neighborhood, rundown houses. Very noisy traffic-wise because it's one of the longer and main streets in Columbus. A lot of empty older buildings, and looks like maybe twenty or thirty years ago, it wouldve been a nice street. There's a Dairy Queen, CVS, and many gas stations. It eventually dead ends at Georgesville Road which has a lot of shopping.

"Located just off Broad Street"

One way street, totally newly remodeled school sits right on the end, as well as Gladden Community House. One end is apartments, mail is delivered to your door, decent amount of noise from the elementary school. Heavier during the day during school times, close walk to the library, and close to a fire department.

"Noisy cause right off i-70"

Busy street, many speed bumps, homes on one side, interstate on other. Lots of noise, heavy traffic twenty-four hours a day, three hundred sixty five days a year. Across the freeway is Cooper Stadium, a minor league baseball park sure to cause excess noise.

SC11 The speed bumps do not exist east on Thomas. Yes, there is traffic noise....but look at the new subdivision homes as you head out west on interstate 70 that have the same noise level. I grew up on Thomas when the homes were nice and maintained. I know a number of nice retired old e r folks that still live there. The problem is with rental properties th a t are rented to lazy younger non productive non working Lazy Ass People living off of the government dole. This same problem exists all over Columbus due to slum landlords renting to the non productive people in our society. Such a shame that so many areas are experiencing this. I really hope that Franklinton can recover.65

"Rundown Road Off Broad"

Busy street, older rundown homes. Close to Columbus Public Schools, Mount Carmel West hospital, Franklinton library, fire department, gas stations, corner markets, Cooper Stadium. Bus stops, Columbus Lime and Coal, and backyard mechanic shops. Would not recommend it to anyone for living conditions.

"Small street off Brown Road"

East side: Older, rundown homes. Not well kept. Dirt floors, nasty people. Road dead ends into a junkyard, which causes lots of traffic.

West side: older homes, not rundown but not well-kept either. Dead ends into an elementary school, friendly people.

"Little Street off Ransburg"

Little to no traffic, dead end street, older homes but very well kept, neighbors are very friendly, and everyone takes care of each other. At the dead end, there is a huge field for playing, but is not a city-funded park. Train tracks located behind the houses.

"Street I grew up on"

Newer and older homes, all kept up nicely. Lot of traffic, but not noisy traffic. Park at the end of the street, but no bus stop. Curbside mailboxes, driveways, sidewalks, and all single-family homes. Mostly split levels and very family friendly.

"Small Town street"

Older homes, but nice. Quiet neighborhood, good place to raise a family. Only local traffic on the street. Dead end street, so no through traffic. Lots of families, and some older couples. Very clean, and lots of trees.
