"Family-Friendly Village on the Water and Close to NYC"
I moved to the City after college for 10 years. When it came time to decide where my new wife and I should live - and she swore she would never leave the city - I said, "honey, it's a 1,000 sq ft co op in the upper, uppper west side, or....just come and look at a house in Larchmont." Here we are 12 years later - raising two girls, 3 and 6 and three quarters (she's sensitive about that). Good restaurants, great location, same awesome school, parks and beaches. What's not to love?
- Friendly Community
- Good School System
- Family-friendly
- Sandy Beach and Parks
- Expensive
- High real estate prices & taxes
- lacking diversity
We have 4 kids and two dogs. Looking for close comnute and safe, welcoming community. I lived your description of kids riding bikes to kids homes because I remember that as a child and would love that for my kids. They are 14, 13, , 8, and 6. Anything you could tell me about the differences in these areas would be greatly appreciated!
