"Calm neighboorhood set between two lovely mountains"
Was a little hesitant moving to north Phoenix, especially so close to Dunlap, after hearing everyone's complaints about how ghetto it was, yet the neighborhood is rather nice. Mountain views to the left and right; not a lot of traffic noise. Lots of places to eat in the surrounding area, plus downtown is just a few minutes away and there are a slew of great international restaurants/cafes up Cave Creek Road.
Occasional dogs barking, but the area provides several very nice dog parks where you can tire out the pooches so that they sleep through the night.
Don't know about schools, too much, as I'm child-free, but there's certainly enough to keep a single person or a couple occupied and housing prices are great, especially right now, so it's a perfect neighborhood for the first time home buyer to snatch a good deal.
Definitely beats the cold, anti-social feel of the West Valley suburbs where we used to live.
Would move here, again!
