"Close to everything you need or want in Muncie!"
Riverside/Normal City is the ideal neighborhood to live in in Muncie. You are within walking distance to downtown, Ball State, the hospital and the Village. Within the neighborhood are several parks, the city's public pool, a dog park, the White River greenway bike trail and the White River. MITS runs through the neighborhood giving easy access by bus to shopping and dining amenities throughout the city. The neighborhood is easily traversed by foot and bike and is a friendly, affordable place to call home. There is a good mix of homeowners and student renters, with a strong neighborhood association that is working to bridge that gap.
Pros
- Location - within a short walk/bike ride from downtown & the BSU campus
- Affordability
- Safe & clean neighborhood
Cons
- Some student rentals need upkeep
- Noise can be an issue during the first week of BSU classes
- Parking can be an issue nearer to BSU's campus
