Lanham, Maryand is a place most people may not know about. It's not one of the major cities like Baltimore or Silver Spring. However, if you plan on raising a family, this may be the place for you.

Interstate 450 goes thru this small city and those coming from D.C. into Maryland may miss it if they blink, and end up right in Bowie--because that's where 450 will take ya!

There's a few shopping centers where you can pick up a few groceries or chinese food if you like. These shopping plazas are placed literally up and down 450 for folks coming on and getting off the interstate. Lanham is home to WPGC radio station--which is very popular if you listen to hip hop, but everything else there is pretty much ordinary. Lanham sits right in between New Carrollton and Bowie, so eventhough it pretty much is all the same wheverever you go, I just wanted to point out that Lanham is, in fact a 'nice, quiet town nestled in the heart of a busy interstate!
