"Sketchy place for anyone to live!"

You have such a mixture of people on this street. You will find out-of-town college kids, retired couples, single couples, and low income families. Some houses have sheets as curtains and some houses are well kept, although, most of the homes are dated. More often than never you will see crime sprees or break-ins among this area. All of the elders are extremely nice, and are usually the only neighbors to communicate with you. I wouldn't say its a "bad place to live" but it is a place to be cautious of especially if you have kids.

"A calm area for adults over 50."

When driving down this street you see a lack of kids or much "activity" going on. The majority of residence are over 40 but MOST over 50. Although, its near Lubbock Christian University there is never backed up traffic and you don't see many college kids. The houses are nice and kept up to date. Its a great area if your looking for something quaint and quiet. Its also not in the middle of town so you have easy access to loop 289 and most major roads without the worry of traffic!

"4th St. has everything!"

This street is perfect for college kids, young couples or singles. It has all the basic things you need; a grocery store, lots of fast food, movie rental, tanning, and restaurants. It's also a straight pathway to Texas Tech University. The traffic never gets backed up and no part of it is an "unsafe area". I wouldn't recommend it for couples with kids due to the fact that they might be aggravated with the amount of college kids around. Since a lot of people living here are from out of town they are eager to meet and say hello!

"Wonderful family neighborhood!"

I absolutely love this street! It is just a few miles out of the "main" part of town so its nice and quiet most of the time. The entire is street is nice and kept very clean. I have yet to see a yard that has been neglected. If you move to this street your likely to be greeted by your neighbors possibly with a house-warming gift or an invite to a barbeque. Quitman is in the Frenship ISD so lots of kids roam around the area on bikes or skates. As long as I lived there only one house on the block went on the market. Its a delightful street for a great price.

"Not quite as calm as it looks."

The overall street looks like an average income family neighborhood. However, I find it hard to sleep with lots of bumping vehicles. The traffic flow seems to be more than usual. Although, MOST yards are kept nice, there are sporadic ones throughout the street that are less than pleasing. You have to drive extra slow and careful when entering the neighborhood, due to tons of kids running around in the middle of the streets playing various sports games. So far they are polite and kindly move when they see traffic approaching. I've never met the neighbors, but they do wave in passing. I don't hear any animals at night but like I said, the traffic is constant. The best description would be a typical medium-income area.
