The neighborhood of Colonial Heights is not a very well known one, whenever I mention it to a new friend, they have no clue what I'm talking about until I say, it's near Tahoe Park and then they know exactly what I'm talking about. I love my neighborhood, although we have some bad rep, it is a very friendly place to live, we have a neighborhood association and not gonna lie but we have lots of hipsters.
We are all super accepting people and we are not bad people at all. Our streets have dome like coverings of trees so it's like our own little world and we are getting more places put in, like the restaurant Sac City Brews. Another thing is that, yes it's the suburbs but it's not the cookie cutter homes like in Green Haven or the stuck up snobs of east sac.
We also are trying to make our neighborhood better everyday with new events and gatherings to neighborhood wide garage sale days. Colonial Heights is definitely special and it's a really amazing place to live, I have never felt scared to live here, I have never been afraid that my stuff is going to get stolen and my family and I have been living here for a long time, for me 18 years, for my dad 48.
