"Vista Lane Revisited"
Vista Lane is located in Tarrytown in Austin, Texas, West of Mopac and East of Exposition, bisected by Windsor Road. Close to UT, Town Lake, downtown Austin, and Westenfield Park it's hard to beat the location for convenience.
Most of the homes in the area were built in the late 1930's. Vista Lane underwent a few tear-downs from 2003-2006 by ARB Homes.
We live next to a rent house with 3 guy roommates in their early 20's sharing the place. We occasionally hear them "entertaining," but to be fair, they were a lot better after we told them they were keeping our baby awake.
Also, Tarrytown tends to be far more diverse politically than the rest of Austin. You'll find a mix of Dem and Republican signs during elections, although don't be surprised if signs for Republican candidates are still torn down.
Most people park in the driveways and the street is pretty much free of parked cars. All of our neighbors have lawn services (mostly Victor Torres), so yards are well-kept. I've noticed that a couple of houses seems to have adopted a laissez faire approach to landscape design. Overall, Vista Lane is a great street, and we're very happy we bought here.
