"Friendly neighborhood street"
This small side street is not as attractive as other streets in the area, mainly due to a significant lack of trees on one end. The people living on it seem very neighborly, though, and always smile and chat when you walk by. It has the feel of a smaller neighborhood, right in the heart of South Slope. I would recommend it especially to those with families.

"Off the beaten path, but not too far off"
Not as pretty as the brownstone-lined streets in Park Slope proper, this street could be great to live on, depending on what you're looking for. It's close to the Prospect Expressway, but not so close that you can hear it, and it's also close enough to shopping and dining of Park Slope. Only a few blocks from my favorite bar in the area, Bar 4.

"Small street off the expressway"
This is a small street right off of Prospect Avenue. It's mainly one big apartment building with several different units. Quite close to the Prospect Expressway, which is either a boon or a curse depending on whether you're more concerned about traffic noise or beating traffic. Also convenient to shopping on 7th Avenue in Park Slope.

98th St
"Recommended for water lovers"
This is a quiet, residential street near the water. Actually it reminds me a lot of City Island. More suburban-seeming than many parts of Brooklyn because it has actual detached houses (many with garages!), but the proximity of the houses will remind you that, yes, you are still in the city. Not enough greenery for me, but again, if you're into the water, this is the place for you.

Malbone St
"Unattractive side street"
This street has nothing going for it, except that the police station is nearby. The architecture is boxy and unappealing and the grass is overgrown. Unlike other small side streets in nearby neighborhoods like Lefferts Gardens or Windsor Terrace, this street has no character. The buildings are large condos thrown up with little attention to looks. Too close to Empire Blvd to be quiet. I try to avoid this street whenever possible.

"Small street in a busy area"
This is a small residential street bracketed by Empire Blvd and Lefferts Ave, which are both really busy, noisy, heavily-trafficked conduits. This is not my favorite block, mainly because the surrounding area is so unattractive. Since so much traffic travels nearby, the air always seems thick with pollution. A good place to drive past, not a great place to spend time in.

"Quiet street in a desirable location"
This is an isolated, mostly residential street in the Windsor Terrace section of Brooklyn. The traffic on this street is mainly residential, so it would probably be a great place to raise a family, but there is not a lot going on in terms of bars, restaurants, or shopping, unless you walk down to Prospect Avenue or over to Prospect Park West. Still, it's a short walk to Prospect Park, and a quick trip into Manhattan, which makes it a desirable location.

Greenwood Ave
"Fast cars, little character"
North of the highway, cars speed down this street while cutting through Prospect Avenue to Prospect Park Southwest, trying to make the light. The street is wide, which further encourages people to drive fast. There are a few businesses on this street -- a church, a deli. South of the highway, it's more residential, but still fairly unattractive -- no offense to those who live there! There's a good pizza place just south of the highway -- Little Tonino's!
Seeley St
"Would love to live here"
When I walk down Seeley Street, I feel like I'm walking down a small side street in a European city. The buildings are mostly small, brick, two-family houses, with beautiful gardens out front. It's peaceful and quiet -- the kind of place where you want to sit outside in the morning and sip your coffee while listening to chirping birds overhead.

Terrace Pl
"Cute residential street"
Terrace Place is located in the Windsor Terrace section of Brooklyn, just southwest of Prospect Park. It's a cute, tree-lined street filled with two-family dwellings. This is a great street on which to raise a family. Very little traffic goes down this street, so it would be great for kids who want to play baseball or catch.
