"Starter home, good services, a bit noisy"
I currently live on West Madison Street in a new town home. I really like how close it is to everything, I can use public transportation but the pollution is particularly bad because the industrial district is not far from it. I like the fact that the streets are never impassable because of snow, the city definitely takes care of that. Neighbors can be noisy but if you're looking for a starter home like me, it really is a great place to start.

"Necessary Road that happens to be every dangerous."
The Henry Watterson Expressway is one of the busiest streets in Louisville. Stretching as many as 8 lanes one way, Henry Watterson Expressway is the gateway to the East (namely Lexington). The Expressway ends (westward) in the downtown of Louisville. Very convenient, but VERY dangerous. About 50-60 deaths a year occur on the Expressway
West Main St
"Historic and BEAUTIFUL"
If you can recognize a Louisville Slugger, you'll recognize this street. The Louisville Slugger museum is located on West Main Street with a 7 story bat to mark its position. Right in the middle of the city with the gorgeous views of the river, West Main street offers any range of dining, any range of entertainment and all for a relatively low price since Louisville is not as big as a New York or Los Angles. Great time!

Newburg Rd
"Like to Golf?"
Right on the campus of Bellarmine University is their GREAT golf course. Its free for students but about $75 for singles. (So its pricy!) But the locals know that its one of the best golf courses around. With malls and parks al up and down Newburg, you're sure to have a diverse and exciting daily experience. (I hope to move there some day!)

"Loud College Street"
I went to the University of Louisville from 2002-2006 and while I knew it was a big city school, I didn't expect it to be SO big and SO loud. Apart from living in a dorm with a window facing Cardinal blvd. When the Cardinals played football or basketball, you might as well stay home or walk some place. The streets are JAMMED! It was a good experience but I can't recommend.
Coram Way
"Previously nice but becoming overgrown"
My best friend, Todd grew up on Coram Way and it was great because he was so close to the park and mall, but with the extra subdivisions going in, Fegenbush is a traffic nightmare. Strangely enough, going North on Fegenbush in the mornings, and coming South in the evenings will allow you to miss a lot of the rush hour traffic.

Bardstown Rd
"Epitome of Suburbia"
Bardstown road is really the place to go for leisure sports activities. Charlie Vettiner Golf Course, and a huge soccer complex are all part of the fun. I played many soccer tournaments there and really love the natural beauty of the area. Parking is free and the locals a friendly. What more could you want?!

North 6th St
"Historic and natural beauty"
South 6th Street is where I used to visit on school field trips, now its a beautiful place to take my daughter and relax. Home to the Muhammad Ali Center (the legendary boxer), and park, South 6th street gives you water front access as well as upscale dining and 2 movie theaters.

"The place to be for 20-30 year olds!"
Every weekend South 4th street is on the move. With music coming from one of the seven (7!) night clubs, you can literally be square dancing on minute, then whisked away to the hip hop club Everlasting, then off to my favorite, the lofts to wine and dine with upscale elegance. Great fun!

"A taste of city with a small town feel"
When you live on Taylorsville road for the first 9 years of your life, you have a great sense of nostalgia for the house and the street. Taylorsville road is a great place to raise a family. Quick to everything and bike friendly, you really do feel right at home with the classic street lights and the neighbors that are always happy to meet new people.
