Ashburner St
"Holmesburg's Best Quality"
Ashburner Ave is home to the Ashburner Inn, an awesome restaurant and bar as well as a few local favorites. It is around the corner from Bisirri's Flower Garden, a family business that only sells quality flowers that will come up every year. Close to access to the Delaware River and Frankford Ave. Aside from the Ashburner Inn there are a few great diners on this street including Tate's Good Food and Liberty Diner.

Ryan Ave
"Nice Drive Without Leaving the Hustle and Bustle"
Ryan Ave is where you need to go for outdoor sports fun without leaving the area. Fairmount Park surrounds this street and there are various access points along it. There are also multiple playing fields and a few acres of land perfect for walking the dog or teaching the kids soccer (this is where I did both those things as well as learn to drive).

Kelly Dr
"A Simply Perfect Walk"
Oh, Kelly Drive and Boathouse Row, gorgeous any time of the year. Many people run, bike, skate, etc. down this beautiful road every day. It over looks the Schukyll River, where on any given day you will see people rowing. Many of the Universities in the city as well as some high schools have boats on this river, so you may even see a competition and hope you do!

Rittenhouse Sq
"A Peaceful Place to eat Lunch"
Around the corner from the Liberty Towers is a small park called Rittenhouse Square. Many people who work in those building take their lunch there and why not! It is a great place to pinic, especially after a long days shopping on Jeweler's Row, which shares a side of the square. There are a number of sandwich shops in the area, so take your lunch to go and enjoy it in the park.

Linden Ave
"A Secluded Place to Visit the Delaware"
The best part about Liden Ave is its access to the Delaware River. The access point is open to all boats and has a private dock. There is no marina, but not too far down the river is the Croydon Marina, complete with a bar with tiki deck and bike nights in the summer. The dock is a quiet place to hangout, read, study, barbeque. There are also hatcheries for young kids to fish and a playground.

Passyunk Ave
"South Philly at its Best"
Usually when you think of streets in South Philly, Passyunk Ave is at the top of the list. Many shops and boutiques are on this street and it is close to the best cheesesteaks in the business, Pat's and Geno's. For a real Italian experience the Italian Market is within walking distance; where you can buy fresh produce and fish.

Rhawn St
"Pleasant Drive in an Usual Place"
Rhawn St. is quite long and has some very busy intersections, but between Frankford Ave and Roosevelt Blvd, this street follows part of Fairmount Park, one of the largest park systems in the US. There is access to the park from here and inside there are a plethora of activities.

"Where Real Philadelphians Drink"
Frankford Ave is the busiest, most important street in the northeast. It runs through counties as route 13, but I am talking about the Frankford Ave at Cottman. You probably saw it on the news the night of the Phillies World Series with a massive crowd of people. This street is littered with bars, but most people are from the area. There is shopping and spas and direct access to 2 very helpful bus lines.

"Great Place to Raise a Family"
Aldine St. is on the border between Mayfair and Holmesburg in the NE. It is close to Pennypack Park, which is 3 miles around, a great exercise tool for biking, running, hiking, etc. and is within walking distance of a major intersection and 2 useful buses. There are multiple bars on Frankford Ave, barely a block away. I loved growing up here.

Market St
"A Day Out On One Street"
Market St. is in the heart of center city Philadelphia. It has everything from the Hard Rock Cafe to the Gallery, a mall inside a train station. It starts at City Hall, right around the corner from the historical district. If you are looking for something more scholarly, Drexel University is also close and always has events.
