I've lived in many places and yes including the highly proclaimed San Diego, and I always end up back in Vegas. My husband and I've been lured to other states with big money job offers, at the end we always feel empty because we miss our people in Las Vegas.
One thing many would not know is that we have here a huge spiritual community, I practice Native American spirituality and yes! We do sweat lodge here! (That's how we receive the New Year, while most party) and when and elder Hopi came to visit, to share a message; he did it from the Temple of Shaolin in Spring Mountain and lots of other faiths and church members were there as well!
That's how we roll, same way we don't judge how you choose to have fun in our city, we are a tight community. My kid plays on the street all day, like we used to! Every person that comes through my door is a dear friend, never missed 1st Friday and bring your kids during the day/1st weekend.
