Well, there's a terrific place to buy some rocks just off Kedzie in Markham. Some say it's hard to find the really good stuff outside of Chicago, but Markham has come a long way in the last few decades!

Some find the Harvey reefer to be a little harsh, but it depends on your tastes.

Naperville boasts Centennial Beach and the Riverwalk, which features covered bridges, fountains, and extensive landscaping, as well as a program of summer concerts.

Chicago bustles with eclectic attractions and happenings occur year round. Among region"s many attractions is Briar Street Theater, noted for putting up on stage performances and events that may make audience fall in love with them.

I like the scenery the most. It’s kind of closed in. You have a break along one side and you have the trees and the rocks on the other. I also like the crowd.
The sand is great. … No rocks. Completely smooth, fine sand.

The food is very good. I'd rate higher, but it's just too expensive.
I usually stop at Gale Street for the ribs. They aren't great but they are definately above average. The staff is always friendly and the menu won't break your wallet.

Elm street has emerged the most unique and hip spot to hang out in the Gold Coast. Amongst the usual spots and typical rush and division crowd you will find a bar-lounge that is one of a kind. The Moon roof ceiling, comfy Leather chairs, Plasma TVs and blue lighting makes for one of the hottest spot to party.

The main stem of the Chicago River has been crossed by four bridges at Rush Street. The first bridge was a floating bridge that was hinged to one bank.
Several prominent hotels are located on or bounded by Rush street.On the north side of Chicago Avenue Rush Street is part of the Gold Coast neighborhood of the Near North Side community area. The Gold Coast is the nation's second wealthiest neighborhood, trailing only the Central Park East neighborhood of Manhattan's Upper East Side.

In the early part of the 20th Century, Chicago had an ordinance which required setbacks and governed the designs of skyscrapers in order to preserve light and air. The buildings of the time pushed those rules to the limit, and were shaped by them.

This place was an exceptional find. The atmosphere was what you'd expect from a dingy jazz dive bar. Low lights And an amazing jazz band made this place "wonder" ful. Service was okay and the reason it didn't get the full 5. Regardless, highly recommend this joint.

At the end of the block just before you get to State/Rush, on your right will be the Original Pancake House, a neighborhood favorite.
Alternative if it's Saturday morning---turn right on State/Rush and go a couple blocks more to Division. There will be a big Farmers' Market running along Division from State to Clark.
