"It was not such a bad place to live"
This was not such a bad place to live. I lived here for about five years. It was not the cleanest street to live on. It was really close to a lot of different shopping and dining experiences. It is also close to Southern Connecticut State University. I would actually recommend this street to live on but I would be cautious as to what part. I would only recommend the part that is close to SCSU.

Elm St
"In the heart of downtown"
This street is in the heart of downtown New Haven. The New Haven free public library is located on this street. there are a lot of families with children that make this street their home. It is not close to any schools but it is accessible to public transportation. I would only recommend this street to families with children but that does not mean some one else would not be happy.

"Have not heard great things"
It is not one of the worst streets in new haven but is is not the best either. The street tends to be less than clean. There are a lot of children around playing. It is not near any major highways or the main streets in New Haven. It is close to some of the major schools though. It is not near any shopping are dining experiences.
East Rock Rd
"close to a really nice school"
This street is home to one of the better schools in New Haven. It is called East Rock Global Studies I would recommend people with families to live here. It has a lot of families with children already living there. Looks very beautiful in the spring time with all of the trees in bloom. Single people might feel out of place on this street. I would live here.

"Close to a lot of areas"
This street is right in the middle of New Haven. Is fairly clean and well taken care of. It is right in Downtown New Haven. Is close to a lot of shopping, dining, and Night Clubs. Is close to Yale University as well. A lot of students seem to really enjoy this area. Sometimes there is some erratic driving because of the night life but other than that it seems like a decent place to live.

"Walk through this neighborhood fast"
I would walk through this neighbor hood really fast. It is in the middle of what has been nicknamed "The Ville" It is not very clean and has a lot of people hanging out all times of the day and night. It is also known for its drug activity. It is close to some local schools though. It is not close to any shopping or dining areas. It was close to a popular night club but it got shut down by the local police.

"Not a bad place to live."
This is not such a bad place to live. It is with in walking distance to Southern Connecticut State University as well as local grammar schools. It is close t two major shopping plazas, Westville and Amity. There is a newly built residential facility. It tends to be quite but because it is so close to Southern Connecticut State University some weekends it can get a little rowdy with partying college students walking down the street back home from the bars.

"Nice places to eat"
This street has some nice places to dine within close proximity. It is close to Yale University and a major highway. It also has some retail therapy. Parts of the street are not the cleanest. It has some really beautiful Historically unique homes. Looks quite lovely during the spring time when the trees and flowers are all in bloom.

"One of the main streets in New Haven"
It is one of the main streets in New Haven. The public transportation on this street one quite frequently and late into the night. It is close in proximity to several local schools and universities. It is not the safest or cleanest street hough. I would walk down this street but I would not want to have to live here. That is just a matter of opinion though. Has one elderly independent living facility.

"It has gotten better..."
I remember 10 years ago this was one of the worst streets to live on. It is right in the middle of what has been nicknamed "The Ville". There is a lot of teenagers hanging out on the street. As well as a lot of drug activity. Sometimes on the weekends you can hear the young ones fighting. It could be a worst place to liv but it could be a whole lot better as well.
