I have lived in North Minneapolis for about 15 years and I think that it is a very diverse neighborhood. The city of Minneapolis alone is about 80 percent white race, but on the Northside of Minneapolis you see a world of difference from the rest of the city. North Minneapolis is very urban very busy like any other big city and it also has a fairly high crime rate. Most crimes that occur in the city of Minneapolis occurs on the Northside of Minneapolis. With that being said I still think of North Minneapolis as a great place because its like one big melting pot. You have people from all over the world that stays in North Minneapolis and that brings a great culture to the city and neighborhood. I think growing up in Minneapolis really give children a reality check of what the world is really like because there are so many different kinds of people therefore you get so many different perspectives about life.
