Rosedale, Queens, NY has a lot to offer. You pretty much have everything you need within a 2 mile radius. From Supermarkets, to laundrymats, Chinese Food to a Sports Bar - Rosedale has got it all. If you have children, there are 3 Public Schools in Rosedale, P.S. 138, P.S. 38 and P.S. 195. Also there is a great park to take the kids - Brookville Park, located on 147th Avenue and Brookville Boulevard. It is a tight-knit neighborhood, with the blocks neatly aligned. The Rosedale Senior Center is located on Merrick Avenue which has activities and food services for the seniors of Rosedale and surrounding areas. Green Acres Mall is actually just over the county line from Rosedale - it is actually walking distance. For all of your shopping, I suggest 243rd Street in Rosedale. You can pretty much get everything you are looking for - from a card store, multiple restaurants, liquor store and drug store. You never really have to go to far living in such a prime location.

255th street is a pretty street in Rosedale. Public School 138 is a few blocks away. The houses are neatly manicured. Francis Lewis blvd. is on the corner - which gives you easy access to all the main roads attached to Rosedale - Sunrise Highway, Conduit Expressway and belt Parkway. There are no immediate stores on the surrounding blocks - which give it a nice suburban feel. Parking is great and neighbors are very friendly. Only one glitch - JFK Airport is not far away - and you always hear the planes overhead. But after a while - you just tune them out. I highly recommend this street.

Caney Lane is a nice quaint street in Rosedale. On one end of Caney Lane is Hook Creek Blvd. - which gives you easy access to Sunrise Highway. On the other end of Caney Lane is Francis Lewis Blvd. - which is a main road that takes you to Conduit Expressway and the Belt Parkway. It is conveniently located. Street is clean and neighbors are friendly. At night, the occasional truck hitting a pothole on Hook Creek Blvd. can wake you up. The Long Island Railroad is a few blocks away - and when it is quiet - the train can be heard. Overall with just a few minor glitches - it is a nice plae to raise a family.

Huxley Street is a small street in Rosedale, Queens. What is great about living there - is that one of the main streets for shopping in Rosedale is right down the street - 243rd Street. On the opposite end of Huxley - is Brookville Blvd. - another main street. Brookville Park is right there as well - which is walking distance from Huxley Street. Since the houses and driveways are very narrow - parking isn't that great on the street. Neighbors are friendly and the street is relatively clean.

208th Street in Bayside, Queens is a perfect place for you and your family to live. The school district is excellent. It has the feel of a quiet residential neighborhood - with all the urban flare just a few blocks away. Parking is great on this street. Neighbors are friendly. The Long Island Expressway is just a few blocks away - as well as all the other main streets in Bayside - Northern Blvd., Bell Blvd and Francis Lewis blvd. I highly recommend it!

147th Avenue is a two lane street in Rosedale, Queens. Its a nice road to take for a short cut to JFK Airport. It will take you to Guy R. Brewer Blvd. - which is a main road to the airport, to Francis Lewis Blvd., which is a main road to take to Sunrise Highway, Conduit Expressway or the Belt Parkway. It stretches from Rosedale, Queens to Springfield Gardens, Queens. With few lights - it is definitely a time saver to get to where you have to go.

189th Street in Flushing Queens is a busy street, just off the main road - Northern Blvd. The Auburndale train Station is a few blocks away - so parking is definitely not good since people park on this block and leave their car to take the train to the city. It is very noisy - with traffic bustling by on the adjacent Northern Blvd. What is great about living on this street is that you can walk to just about anything you need. Food, Bar, store, deli... its all just a few feet away. The houses are close together, and driveways are narrow - but is was a nice neighborhood to live in - especially if you are used to the hustle and bustle.

Hook Creek Blvd. cuts through Rosedale, Queens residential area. There is an Industrial Park located on Hook Creek which is mainly incorporated with JFK AIrport - which accounts for all the truck traffic on this road. The quality of the road has gotten better over the years. Twenty years ago there was extreme flooding, and major potholes. There are still many potholes - but at least its not like driving through a lake anymore. It is a nice road to use to get to the other side of Rosedale, Queens without using the other busier main road - Francis Lewis Blvd. It definitely will save you time - and it is reachable by Sunrise Highway and the Conduit expressway.

I love Oceania Street in Bayside, Queens. There is an exit for this street on the Long Island Expressway. Use this street to get to all the busier streets in Bayside, such as Bell Blvd. and Northern Blvd. It is a very wide street that cuts down in the middle of the residential neighborhood. It can save you alot of time using this street to get to the main sections of Bayside,Queens. The surrounding area is quiet and friendly. I Highly recommend using this street!

Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in Queens is a main street to get to JFK Airport. Many trucks travel this potholed road. There are many business and stores along the way, mostly air freight companies, brokers and airport related businesses. It definitely is not one of the nicer streets of Queens - I would not encourage anyone to walk down this block in the evening. Besides businesses strewn on this block - there are also undesireables, drug dealers, etc. Stay in your car!

243rd Street in Rosedale, Queens is one of the main streets in Rosedale in which the community flocks to. Even though the street is about a mile long, businesses are clustered along a 2 block stretch. There is mainly only parking on the street - only a few stores have a parking lot - which makes parking a nightmare. Businesses include a supermarket, card store, chinese food, local bar called Sportsmania Pub and a nail salon.
