"A neighborhood for beach lovers and bar hoppers!"
Garnet Avenue is located in Pacific Beach/San Diego, California. If you like quiet and peaceful neighborhoods, then this is not the place for you. Majority of the population are college students from neighboring universities, such as UC San Diego and San Diego State University. This means that it can get very loud and crowded here on certain days of the week. This neighborhood is also the busiest around school breaks, such as spring, winter, and especially summer! Tourists come to Pacific Beach all the time to enjoy the beach, and Sea World is also near this neighborhood, so it’s very hard to find parking around here during the summer. It is for party goers, since the strip is practically filled with bars and restaurants. You will also find different boutiques and small businesses here as well. This street is not only fun, it is also convenient because the grocery stores, such as Vons and Ralphs are walking distance. It’s also one of the most affordable places to live in San Diego that’s near the beach. This is a lot less expensive than Mission Beach/Mission Bay area. My favorite here are the restaurants that are very affordable, such as Broken Yolk Café and Kono’s Café.
