Castleton, NY is a small village just outside of East Greenbush, NY which is well developed. There is a town library, elementary, junior high, and high school. There are quite a few churches there, one of which I have attended all my life. There is a small post office and also there are village wide garage sales once every year. It is a small village with many streets and has a couple of convenient stores like Jiffy Mart and Stewart's. It extends towards route 150 and included a large dinkin' donuts and ice cream place. It is safe and home to many families and kids. It's only 20-30 minutes away from colonie where 2 big malls and located and about 10-15 minutes away from major retail/activity. Overall it's an ideal place to live, not exciting, not boring.
