"St Louis Park Cedar Manor Area....more than meets the eye!"
I bought in 2002 on South side of Hannan Lake. Quick access to Hwy 169 (N/S Hwy) & Cedar Lake Rd (E/W street) means bus line & vehicle access is great. A surprising amount of wildlife lives around the area due to Hannan Lake and Cedar Manor Pond plus the Minneapolis Golf Club adding to green space. A lot of post WWII homes but surprisingly also home to newer construction of late as some homes are being enlarged/remodeled and some just simply replaced with new....and that speaks well to anyone's investment/value considerations in the neighborhood. A close by French Academy that opened in the last few years is an added draw. I've lived in the Cedar Manor area on W 28th Street now for over 10 years and have never felt sorry about my decision. I think you will like it too!
Pros
- Bus Line on E/W Cedar Lake Road--quick access to Hwy 169
- French Academy in former Cedar Manor School
- Wildlife in area, lots of green space, ponds

"Living in the heart of St Louis Park...Bronx Park Area is for you."
I owned/lived at 2912 Hampshire Ave S from 1990 to 2002 right in Bronx Park area of Hampshire Ave S. Found a street with great people in all directions be it 1 block East or West. Since Minnetonka Blvd is the same as 30th street & a major E/W street, being close to a good East/West stree with a stop light at Hampshire & Minnetonka Blvd means you can get on/out without dodging traffic...this is a big plus! Also you are close to the Lennox Community Center & virtually equally distant from HWY 100 on the East side of St. Louis Park and HWY 169 on the West side of St Louis Park. Great street/area & neighbors....but that stop light is a BIG plus for this street. Housing is post WWII mostly 1.5 story w/some 1 story homes too, neat/tidy and show pride of ownership and hold their value/sell well. I only moved because needed larger home.
Pros
- Stop Light at Minnetonka Blvd (30th) & Hampshire Ave S.
- Equal distance to Hwy 100 on East & Hwy 169 on West
- Close to Lennox Community Center - Bronx Park close by too
