"A hamlet with an old-town vibe...in a good way"
Love this town! Many options in terms of housing: co-ops, townhomes and fabulous period homes, as well as beautiful new construction. If you're the outdoorsy type, you can swim in the bay, kayak or boat out of the Oyster Bay harbor. There is a great town park by the water with various playgrounds for children of all ages, as well as public tennis courts. Teddy Roosevelt's summer home is here, as well as a bird sanctuary offering many programs for children and adults. The main street has an 'old town' charm and is lined with pretty old churches and an array of eclectic little shops and galleries, as well as an old fashion ice cream shoppe.
In the summer the town is alive with foot traffic and on Thursday nights the vintage car owners display their cars for all for all to enjoy. On occasion you might catch sight of one its many famous residents, like Billy Joel, at the local pizza parlor.
The second week in October, the Oktoberfest brings many people from outside of the area and it can be fun if you like crowds.

"Charming and close to all"
This charming town is surrounded by the affluent villages of Muttontown and Upper Brookville to the west and south, and by the picturesque hamlet of Oyster Bay to the North. It borders Oyster Bay Cove to the East. It is a lovely and friendly community where many generations of the same families reside. People who grow up here always return! You can walk to a beautiful 500 acre preserve, or take a short drive to the Planting Fields Arboretum - a treasure trove of nature! The beach is only a five minute drive away, and the town of Oyster Bay's golf course is ranked as one of the top 100 golf courses in the country. If you commute to NYC, the LIE exit is 41North, an 8-minute drive. Better yet, take the LIRR. From East Norwich you have 3 options: the Syosset train station(5 minutes away), the Hicksville station (12 minutes), of the local Oyster Bay line (5 minutes to the north).
