"Good connector, but that's all."

This sounds like the street you want to own property on-- "Park" and "Presidio" are descriptive and it is green and leafy. But, traffic is terrible and it is really just a good street to use to get "to" the park and the Presidio and the golf course. But, this is not the street that I would buy any property on-- commercial or residential.

"A good short cut through town."

Traffic on this road seemed to at least have somewhere to be. Driving through San Fran can be crazy. This road was a good place to cut through the mess and get somewhere. I wouldn't want to have a property that used this as an access, though. It's a busy and not very walkable street.

"A beautiful drive"

Finally, an MLK street done right! It's a beautiful tribute to a great leader and winds in to JFK street through a scenic park. This is a great street to use to check out the park activities and plan out where you will enjoy the day in the great outdoors. But, there is no parking that I could find.

"Not San Fran's best foot forward."

We heard a lot of great reviews of Market Street before we went to San Fran. And, people who live there love it. But, we found it scary in sections-- and we lived in Boston (the city itself, not the burbs) for 10 years. There were some really great food choices-- for lunch, with a group, in daylight hours. And, I saw a wharf rat. Definitely bigger than the ones we have on the T in Boston.

"Easy to find yourself on the street, hard to get off-- but beautiful."

We kept landing on this street as we were driving around San Fran. Once on it, you are stuck and have to wait for one of the few ways to get off. But, it's a beautiful drive. We usually just used the time to relax and enjoy the view and we would wait until we could get off on Geary-- which is easier to navigate and has more shops and places to stop.

"Loved it. Nice drive if you are a tourist."

Geary is steep in places-- just like you've seen on TV. It's a great street to drive to get a feel for the city from the sea to Market Street. It's beautiful for most of the street and is a real connector-- even as tourists, we learned to get everywhere from Geary.

"Liked it better than Market Street"

Some people describe Mission as gritty, but I felt safer on this street than on Market. It may have been because we were driving (it is surprisingly drivable), but the eclectic stores and restaurants had a great vibe and made you feel that you had really visited someplace that isn't overwhelmed with stores you would find in any upscale mall in America. (Like Powell and Market Street).

"Odd street out in a good neighborhood."

Somehow O' Farrel Street seems to miss out in the region. It's a main street, but it's almost as if it's the back door for businesses in the region. It was not great for walking and I didn't see any cafes or anything to make it really enjoyable to dwell there. I was only in the small region near Market Street and Powell, so I may not have seen the really great part.

"Great Outdoor Vendors"

On Post Street between Powell and Stockton there is a lovely park where the city seems to come out for lunch on a nice day. The vendors there had really great hand made jewelry. I was even able to have one of the women custom make a necklace for my daughter on the spot. Nice restaurants in this area as well. But, you may find the best food in the hotel restaurants.

"A nice section for visitors with children"

I stayed here at the Weston St. Francis with my daughter on a business trip and this was a nice combination of down-town and kid-friendly. There is a park across from the Hotel, a Disney store at the intersection of Powell and Post Street. There are a couple of coffee shops and bookstores as well as upper scale shops more interesting to grownups. Walking North from the intersection with Post was fine, but South to market got a little scary and I wouldn't go that direction at night.
