Grove St
"Grove street is in a pretty nice, quiet area."
I like walking down Grove Street. It is short and dead ends into Central Ave. The street is fairly shady for Brooklyn and a good route to take if you are walking around the neighborhood. It by no means lives up to its name, though! There aren't may great attractions on this street, though, so in that regard it is somewhat non-descript.

Grattan St
"Very dangerous at night and ugly during the day."
This street is in Bushwick in an area that is popular among young hipsters and students attracted to the "industrial appeal" of the area. I lived on harrison Place, which is one block over from Grattan. I do not reccommend living on this street. Lots of abandoned builidings and empty lot scattered with inhabited buildings. It is near a movie rental place, though, and a little grocery. There are some bodegas on the street.

Varick St
"Ugly and mundane but some like the industrial appeal."
I used to live in the neighborhood that this street is in. Sometimes I would walk my dog around here because there weren't many pretty walks in the area. Varick Street was abadoned except for a few converted factory buildings and car repair places. You can get a flat fixed for $6! I wouldn't walk alone here at night if I were you.
Varet St
"This is a small street, typical of industrial bushwick"
This street is in the loft district of Bushwick, or "East Williamsburg" in Brooklyn. Lots of young hipsters and students at Pratt and NYU live in the old industrial warehouses and factory buidings in this area. Be wary of these places, as bed bugs are a really big problem on this street. You can walk to the L train and to the C-Town food Mart, plus a few coffee shops, such as the Archive.

Norman St
"Norman street embodies greenpoint."
Norman Street is a lovely place to walk to take in the true feel of Greenpoint, Brooklyn's home to Polish life and culture. Old ladies sweep their doorways and little shops boast homemade pirogies for sale in the windows. Sometimes people address me in Polish since I have light hair and eyes but they usually speak English as well if you don't understand. The best part? Norman Street is only one block from the G train!

Johnson St
"My favorite gym is on this street. It is dangerous at night but a good gym."
I really like going to Richie's gym on this street. It is in the bottom of a big building with a car body shop and a pet store next door. You can walk to lots of fast food restaurants or the M street. This street is in Bushwick, so it is kind of ugly, but what do you expect this is Brooklyn. I used to walk to the gym on this street from my house. Lots of muscle heads and guys on steroids in the gym so it wasn't great but it is the main thing going on on this street.

Schenectady Ave
"I really love Schenectady Ave. It's nice."
This is a very very nice street. I used to hang out on the corner of Maple Street, where there is a big baseball diamond and ball field. I go to the doctor and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and I sometimes play ball at a league that practices in this field. You can walk to some good pizza places nearby and the area is very diverse. I reccommend it.

"About all this street has going for it is that it is near the subway."
When I lived in Brooklyn I would walk down this street a lot. It is near some tiny urban parks, so that is cool. It is by the subway so that is why I would walk by it. It is just a tiny little street in Brooklyn that intersects with Willoughby Street.

Richardson St
"This is a street in wiliamsburg that is next to the park. It is okay."
I have never lived on Richardson Street. I lived on a street nearby. I used to walk my dog down this street a lot on the way to the park. Some parts of the street are pretty and some are ugly, depending on which side of the freeway you are on.

"An ugly and dangerous wasteland where they charge too much for rent."
I hated living on Harrison Place. It is right next to the subway and a coffee shop and health food store but I know three people who were mugged on my doorstep. Someone even tried to rape one of them but she screamed and some neighbors and I heard so the guy ran off. The landlords are skeezy and charge way too much money. It is also extremely ugly and depressing.

"Crazy Neighbors--It seemed like a great neighborhood but the people made me hate living on this street."
This street is not very pleasant to live on. the neighbors are nosy, homophobic, and sexist. Most of them are older Italians who have lived on the street forever and like to make money off of outsiders moving to the neighborhood but do not treat them as neighbors in return. The landlords spy on residents and scream at you if your dog pees near their building or you lock your bike to a public street sign. My landlord would pound on the door and yell at us day and night. The people in this area are for the most part really nasty, especially if you happen to be gay. A few cute coffee shops in the neighborhood, though, and it's in walking distance to McCaarren Park, which is nice.
