"Where Highlawn turns into Ben Dr."

My cousin moved here with her fiance recently. It's located off Tidwell Dr in a modest area near Airline Dr. The houses are pretty cute and well kept for the most part considering the rest of the neighborhood. When I visited her I felt it was pretty safe and I even forgot to lock my car and everything was in tact.

We rode our bikes around the block up Una St and Highlawn and spoke to a woman who was walking her 3 dogs. She has lived in the neighborhood for years and has had no trouble. If you are looking for a decent place to live but don't have a lot of money to invest your starter home, this could be the place you could find it. I saw quite a few people taking care of their yards and the quality of the street is decent. Closeby to a few restaurants and shops, you dont have to drive far.

"A gorgeous street with beautiful homes"

Pine St in Houston, TX is located in the prestigious Gulfton neighborhood. A lot of the homes are new and modern. Located in the Houston ISD, the schools are great and it's a great place to walk and ride your bike.

The homes here are spacious and most are under 1 year old. It is immaculate! I lived with a friend here temporarily before I moved back to San Antonio. The neighbors keep to themselves, but on the weekends you can find them outside enjoying the day. Some of the houses have beautiful porches and swimming pools in the back.

This is a great place to live if you have children and it is very safe and beautiful. The yards are well kept and the road is in great shape.

"Not a safe neighborhood"

Placid St. off of I-45 in Houston, TX is a very run-down street. The neighborhood needs lots of fixing up. My friend's dog was hit by a car here and I have seen homeless people wandering in this area. The noise level is very high and it makes it hard for the people that live in this area to sleep due to the highway. It's located near Airline Drive and it feels very far out of the way, like it isnt located in Houston at all. Do not get lost or turn down this street. It has a very eerie feeling and a bad vibe. Not only is the road quality bad with holes in the road, but the overall look of trash is not appealing.

"A trendy spot to live"

I used to live in a little house on Yoakum Blvd when i was in college. It is located in the fabulous Montrose area. This is a trendy area full of quaint little shops, restaurants, and bars. If you enjoy going out and walking to different places you would definitely love this street and the surrounding neighborhood. The neighbors were easy to talk to and everyone was spending time fixing up their homes

The only drawback here is the noises coming from cars that are speeding by and sometimes the street is closed off here for various events. I lived here about 6 months and enjoyed the environment. A wonderful place for a young person or someone who enjoys partying. No need to drive anywhere when you can be healthy and walk. It felt pretty safe and I walked to many businesses during the day and early evening.. A hop, skip, and a jump away from University of St. Thomas and easily accessable to the Starbucks off Montrose St.

"Modest Surburban Bliss"

I have visted Rainy River Dr a few times. My best friend Amanda's parents live here. Its a modest area with newer styles of 1-2 story homes. It's located in the Hidden Valley neighboorhood near Veterans Memorial Drive. The folks that live here are generally really friendly and they all like to BBQ. It would be the perfect place to purchase a starter home because the houses are pretty nice and reasonably priced. I have seen people jogging and walking here and outside enjoying themselves in their backyards. A lot of homes have back porches. It is very quiet here, but watch out for a few stray dogs that have been seen on the loose.

"Cora St is full of businesses and mobile homes"

Cora St has many manufactured homes on small lots. It is also home to Carpet Steam Master and Al's Motor Wrecker Service. A very low income area where the median home price is below 30k and over half of the homes are rented. Lots of traffic going in and out of the street and not a lot of trees to provide shade. We have visited this road several times as my Uncle has done business with someone here. There are a few empty lots and some dumpsters as well as trash in different yards. Not a great place to visit or live with children. The quality of the road itself is poor and needs some TLC.

"Lots of potholes on Hutton St."

Located closeby to my Aunt's street, my cousins best friend lives on this street. Having visited this street a few times it was known to have lots of neighbors who let their trash blow into other people's yards and terrible potholes. People would speed up and down the street despite the signs. Not a great street to let your kids play on or ride their bikes. There were two break-ins into a neighbors jeep within one week. Generally located in a nice neighborhood, Hutton St. needs a little fixing up. There are lots of potholes on this street.

"Lee St is quaint and cool"

This street has beautiful shade trees and plenty of greenery. The neighbors are friendly with one another and keep their yards well kept. It would be nice if at some point there would be some sidewalks there, but it doesnt stop people from getting out and walking or jogging. Be careful when you turn the corner onto Staples, there are often cars zooming by. People don't seem to obey any speed limits on this street. Its a perfect place for older couples or someone who appreciates an older neighborhood.

"A natuaral street with lots of trees"

Davis St. located in an older neighboorhood in Houston is home to many old oak trees that provide shade and very accessible to 59. My aunt lives on this street and its very close to Moody Park. You can ride your bike or walk to the park from this street. Many mature but well kept homes are located here, but the roads could use some fixing up. There are several cracks and potholes on this street. The neighbors have lived on this street for years. A nice neighborhood for an older couple.

"Clovis Rd. is a great place to walk"

A friend of mine used to live on the corner of Wister and Clovis for about two years and we would walk through the neighborhood when I would visit on the weekends. We passed by lots of neighbors riding their bikes or jogging. People seemed to be in shape and the yards on this street were taken care of. It was an overall good vibe. The homes are reasonably priced on this street. Nestled inside the 610 loop it definitely was a nice street to raise a family and allow the kids to play outside.
