East Norwich
"Convenient"
I work and live in East Norwich and love it. It is a small town but still has several restaurants and small shopping centers to make it quite convenient. It is also very quick and easy to get to the expressway and there is basically never any traffic. East Norwich borders Oyster Bay which has a charming town with additional stores, restaurants, and a park with a small beach.
I really enjoy boating and would say that the boat ramp facilities at Teddy Roosevelt Park in Oyster Bay are excellent. There is also a Waterfront Center at this park where you can rent stand up paddle boards, kayaks, sailboats, etc. The Oyster Bay waters are clean, calm, and compared to others, a rather short ride out to the Long Island Sound.
If you are looking for more nightlife, restaurants, and shopping, Huntington Village is an easy, quick ride down 25A.
Another added bonus to East Norwich is that the taxes are comparatively inexpensive.
The people are warm and friendly and the town is well maintained. It is a great place to live.
