Nice vibe on this block- nearly all single family housing (owner-occupied). People keep an eye on each other in a helpful way & most have lived here for many years. Only problems are difficult parking for guests, a few transient apartment-dwellers who behave as though they were living in the suburbs, and the elementary school at the end of the block which does NOT teach respect for their neighbors. Otherwise, this is a great place for couples with or without children. Safe for kids to ride bikes on the sidewalk or play some catch after school/work. Don't park by the hydrant, across the sidewalk, or in the alleys: someone is bound to call the police! Welcome to an island of tranquility in Sheffield.
