"I had great coffee and pancakes."

The morning of the show we had to wake up really early and i did not feel like stuffing down a continental breakfast compliments of the hotel. After we showerd and dressed we were surprised to be taken to The Original Pancake House. I've never heard of it before but with i did. With is monster pancakes and steaming coffee. This resturant gave me the pick me up i needed. The area isn't drug infested like most. Its a few thrift store surrounding this area.

"My Hotel Experience in Detroit"

I stayed at the Double Tree Inn located on Southfeild. It was very nice and the staff let us know the changes that have been made since they remodeled. Free high-speed internet access. I wasn't in the pool, but it really looked nice. The restaurant was nice. We ate the breakfast buffet. It was very reasonable and the food was awesome! The staff were also top notch and very catering towards our need, I would chose this area on my own to stay if i came back to Detroit

"Great area. Help me with my dress!"

3343 Brooklyn St is my dress rehersal location. Its surrounded by houses that look similiar to it. Its a very noisy area because of the John C Lodge freeway and Michigan Ave. The actual dress maker lives in one of the many affordable housing out here and she had 3 small children of her own. The schools are excellent I assume because she hasn' complained. And as close as these houses are together, her neighbors have to be pretty cool not to call the cops on 20 screaming females gettin dressed

"the masonic temple"

I recently visited the Masonic Temple of Detroit out of sheer curiousity. The temple is actually located on Temple St but Elm is the backside of Temple, you can access your way into the temple from Elm St also. This is a 14 story building that was built in 1926 that houses all the rich history. The impressive building has 1,037 rooms, including ten decorative period lodge rooms; a Scottish Rite Cathedral that seats 1,600 people and has rich ceiling carvings and colors. The seats are topped off with red felt. This is most definately a Detroit staple

"I felt unsafe going to a house party."

I went to a house party that I was invited to by a few guys in the mall. I didn't think any harm if especially since I was going with like 6 other girls. We first turned down Belle Street and noticed the debris of trash everywhere. Drunks were on the corners shouting obscenities at us and others were trying to see us merchandise we probably didn't need or want. We finally found parking just to go to a party that was filled with just as many rude and belligerent people as the streets. I stayed for about 10 minutes and left. I won't ever do that again

"Typical Middle class neighborhood, It has some rough edges though"

I rode with my makeup artist to pick up his sone from school. The elementary school is located on LaBelle St. Aside from the normal middle class homes. There are a few black owned businesses in the neighborhood which support the community. My makeup artist told me this is also where he runs track on the school field. The school area is pretty nice and has an outstanding football team so i hear. Some of the mothers didn't want to converse with me. I guess that was because i was a female with a single father in an elementary school

"We found the zoo!!"

Lakeside is located on Belle Isle. Belle Isle is a natural preserve. about 20 acres of land located in the middle of the Detroit River. The Belle Isle zoo is located here also known as the "Children's Museum" An elevated walkway takes you past large exhibits where all the animals are including kangaroos, cheetahs and tigers. The Zoo also features nature trails. The zoo is easy enough to navigate where kids can give parents a break.

"Noisy Interstate nearby, Great show location"

When i first laid eyes on this area I couldn't believe one of the hair shows was taking place on this lot. At first it seemed bare and desolate, I began to notice structurs that looked like they housed parties and events. So I knew actually coming here wasn't a mistake. The friendly locals tell me every year after Labor Day is the Annual Detroit Jazz Festival and the stands are filled up. They have all sorts of concessions and musicians playing. I would love to be booked back here around that same time.

"Nice Street with football field for playin tag!"

This is where my actual makeup artist lives. He owns one of the many little homes along Fort St and Meldrum. This neighborhood is pretty nice considering the usual constant noise of Detroit. I would rather stay with him then in my hotel room with 20 other girls and not be able to get any sleep. We went for a game of night football with some of the regular neighbors he knows. They were all kind to me even let me use their bathrooms in their house 2 am in the morning. I would tell my family to check out this neighborhood. I love the quality.

"Great College Area and Museums"

I frequently visit Detroit for my career as a model. I do lost of hair shows here and pavilions and centers. Warren Avenue has lots of Detroit flavor to offer. The house are compact together and very neatly maintained. A stop that is going to always be a must-see in my bood is the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. This museum opened in 1997 after a local activist doctor. I saw many historical thinks I never knew about the other half of my culture. Definitely a go see.

"You're just like all the other numbers!"

This street isn't much different from 12th or 13th street. I has plenty of shopping and cocession stands. The traffic isn't so major around 11 am in the morning and thats the best time for me to do any shopping. When i get hungry I try and visit the best pizza in the city in my opinion.NYPD pizza makes you feel like your in New york. The best thing is their gourmet pizzas. Thats what makes them shine.

"Outstanding Hotel To Visit In Philly"

My boyfriend stayed at this hotel when he visited me from New York. He stayed at the Hampton Inn Philadelphia-International Airport. The hotel staff was a bit stuffy but i guess they have the right to act that way because of the constant traffic in this airport. I noticed the rooms were very spacious and lovely. We had a lovely continental breakfast of bagels sausage and all kinds of cereals. I usually steal all of the apple cinammon muffins lol.

"Busy District of Philly"

Take notes that when you visit Philly, make wuere you visit 10th street. There are so many historic and vintage shops. I bought the most glam purple sequined skirt from a place called Gilah's. It cost me about 35 bucks. My favorite place on 10th street is Morning Diner. The staff is very friendly at this award winning diner and they prepare your food right in front of you. I always order Monkey French Toast.

"Childhood memories of bed & breakfast."

This is the street my mom and I used to stay on whenever she traveled to Philly with me to see my father. Baring St has alot to offer with great Diners and shops. My mother always said she rather stay on the outskirts of Philly than stay in the city. We always frequented the Cornerstone Bed & Breakfast. This place is under new management now but I remember the old owners and they were always sweet. I've stayed in almost every room and all are nice clean 1800's feel.

"Its really busy down here so close to South St."

I can guarantee you that when you drive down Lombard St or South St you won't find any parking close to anyplace you want to go. That still doesn't take away from the Philly Charm. Sometimes people can be rude especially if you aren't going with the flow of Philadelphia. In this area people are pretty helpful because this is a tourist area. Headhouse Market is located between South 3rd and Lombard. You can purchase fresh meat for a bargain.

"The best memorial in an old historic Philly Neighborhood"

This area is located along Benjamin Franklin parkway which makes it seem like a big city. This area is very old and historic. Most houses are just upkept from the earlier days. They still look the same. The best part about this neighborhood that I can say is that its home to the All Wars Memorial to Colored Soldiers and Sailors. This is actually a memorial for african american soldiers that was left unseen for many years until the city decided to move it to this current location

"Everyone loves a Horse & Carriage"

I used to come out here all the time when about 9 years ago with my father. I always stopped at the diner, I had pecan pancakes and would laugh at the name of this road constantly. My father used to take me to 76 Carriage Company located out here. This is one of Philly's attractions in my opinion as well. You get to chose and ride in one of these magical coaches complete with horse. Definately look this area up.

"why not visit Penn's Landing?"

When you come to Philly, you can't just think about cheesesteaks. This city has many historical attractions to offer. This area is very well preserved and upkept. There are a few gift shops and places to grab a quick snack. But the major attraction is Penn's Landing. Penn's Landing is the Philadelphia equivalent of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, on a smaller scale. It runs along the west bank of the Delaware River .

"My kind of area to grab a cheesesteak."

Not only is the baseball field located by, the bus usually runs throught this part of town every half an hr. I always take the 11:30 from my job so I can make it down Passyunk, throught the traffic to get to the place who makes the best cheese steaks. Pat King of Steaks. They serve you the most tender steak with your choice of cheese for about 6 bucks. This is one of my usual hangouts to grab a quick bite. I love the chicken steak subs also.

"This is my home town street!"

1254 Rodman St! This has been my address for the past 9 years. My father lives here and I moved up here to be with him. This neighborhood is very unique full of soul. I love this city because I have a true feel for the culture from the people who live around me.. The food was awesome! I had my first authentic philly cheesesteak on South Street. Nothing beats my neighborhood. I love to wake up every morning knowing I live in such a historic city.

"Cheesy but Fun to go"

I thought I was going to pee my pants when riding down Raven Avenue. I noticed all the cheesy chapels and wedding functions all around me . I just knew my girl wasn't driving me all the way in the desert to take me to one of these places. When we stopped. I met all sorts of people coming out of the local bar that was right next door to this wedding chapel called A Secret Garden. I thought i was going to pass out. The music was cheesy and the services were overpriced. Even thought everyone was friendly, I counldn't believe we were supposed to take them seriously.

"Finding our way to heaven!"

We know where we are now because we've been down Searles Ave at least 5 times today. On our way out earlier I noticed an indulgence I knew I must have if we took this trip down Searles again. The most talked about ice cream place in this area.Anderson Dairy Inc, they make homemade icecream and gelato and fresh milk daily. I had the Caramel Crunch Soft Serve. To die for. And i found out about this from local people in the nearby shops just being friendly to newcomers.

"Running out of options!"

We basically ran out of bridal shops to go to without a computer or addresses. So we had to stop at a local gas station and ask where the nearest library was. Much to our excitement, we were near Chester Stupak Park. I needed a cigarette but the parking was unbearable. Finally we located the Meadows Village Library located on Boston Ave. This area is very charming and we were able to find out some local attraction information while we were lost at the library .

"Getting lost can be a great find!"

We intially started out toward an Ihop in this area and back around to more bridal gown shops and we happened to get lost. East Craig Road takes to many places you never knew to exist on some of these boring roads. We were smack dab in the middle of Nellis Air Force Base. But that wasn't the beat all treat. We found some place called Blueberry Hill resturant. I had the best pancakes and sausage for under 4 bucks ever in my life. The pancakes were huge.

"Feeling Hungry, what to chose from"

Hughes Center Drive is a melting pot of different cultures and experiences. On out bridal dress journey of course . You know I got hungry and had to have a bite to eat. Now I noticed on this road how many different resturants there were to chose from. My best friend and I spent 20 minutes argueing in a Mcdonalds parking lot over which ethinicity of food to consume. We ended up chosing Hamada Of Japan located at 300 block of Hughes Center Dr. The staff was friendly in helping us chose menu items. and I think this may be a franchise.

On our aimless journey through Las Vegas, we began driving down S Jones Blvd. We actually mapquested this address to a known bridal shop called Celebrations. As we were riding I noticed we were riding through Old Las Vegas. The homes were all exactly alike and most of the shops were beautiful. We then found our location the bridal salon Celebrations. Not only was the staff extremely charming but they even let us both try on dresses. All the gowns in this store are under 1000 bucks

"In search of a cheesy wedding dress"

My recent trip to Las Vegas was with one of my nearest dearest friends. She dragged me along to come wedding dress shopping even though she was getting married a week from that date. We drove around aimlessly until we came upon Meadow Lilly Ave.The neighborhood seems typical Vegas. I saw a few hookers. Most were nice. Now parking was a menace and you had to have on your boxing gloves to even participate. We finally located AC Original Bridal Wear. I didn't know what bothered me most, the cheesy music or the cheesy dress?

"Visited here numerous times!!"

This road took me my paradise the Cumberland Mall!. This mall has all the stores that I wanted to visit. The Cumberland Mall has any dining options that are now open, including Maggiano's Little Italy, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Ted's Montana Grille and Stoney River Legendary Steaks. I was so overwhelmed I didn't know which to chose from. This mall has been renovated over the past years since i've visited last. The best new addition to this mall for me is Forever 21!! "There was lots of traffic, was it worth it?"

This area is sort of noisy and really busy. I don't know if the atmosphere and the people were worth the shop I actually came down here looking for. After I asked the 2nd rude person, I finally was pointed in the right direction of the Boutique Africa. Now from the descripition, I was hoping to find lots of exquisite jewels and distinctive head wraps. What I found was a broken down store with one employee who didn't even want to attend to me long enought to stop watching the soap operas. I didn't think this area was worth my time or trip. I didn't purchase anything.

"Perfect place for families with small children."

I visited my best friend who just bought a home in this Buckhead neighborhood. Now as for the atmosphere. It seems pretty normal. Women sneer and men drool and new faces. She said she was pretty much welcomed with open arms. We sat on the porch in the late evening about 6 pm. I noticed there hardley wasn't any traffic or anybody just aimlessly roaming the streets. There was a brand new toddler park built nearby. I would definitely move out here if given the oppurtunity.

"The end reveals nothing!"

This is almost the very end of Rosewell Rd. There aren't as many shops as there were earlier on in the drive. I notice the shopping plazas started getting more spaced out and smaller every 7 miles. I guess this is the desolate part of Rosewell. For those who don't come out often. There are a few small grocery stores and about two nail salons. Two! mind you I mentioned I saw 8 earlier.

"Found a cool accesories boutique!"

Right off of Highway 13 Buford Hwy NE is 3406 Reserve Dr. Located there is one of the many shops and places I wanted to see and visit. This whole is called Lenox Park Shopping Plaza but the store Bonita Belle is located on Reserve. I've always heard of Bonita Belle on televison.. This shop is owned by Big Boi from Outkast Wife. She picked a great location. Plenty of walking traffic just as well as automobile. But for the prices I don't mind being caught in a little 5 o'clock traffic.

"Everything Inner city living in Atlanta has to offer."

Wow! Is all I could say about this area of Rosewell Rd. Its got alot of resturants and nightclubs. I couldn't decide where i wanted to go first. All I knew was I had to get my nails done. and believe me, there isn't a shortage of nail salons located on Rosewell rd. On this end alone I must've ran into about eight salons. I finally had to make a choice between Elegant Nails or American Nail. One was located closer to a Checkers and I wanted a cheesburger so I chose Elegant. I would definately recommend this area for shopping and night venues!

"My family's street. Pretty Nice"

Rockland Dr is the actual street my cousin lives on. His house is pretty huge with a circular driveway, like most homes out here. It's too quiet out here for me but my Auntie and uncle love it. The nearest store you have to be driven to. The only indulgence is a Mickey D's at the intersection of Rockland Dr and Flat Shoals Way. This area is great for older persons who enjoy quiet and families. I would move here when i'm ready to settle down

"Great neighborhood with cool resturant"

After my trip to Atlanta Music Studio, I headed home with my cousin. I'm not from Atlanta so I didn't know where I was going. He lives in the Rockland Dr section of Atlanta. Located one street over was Flat Shaols Rd. I couldn't believe the great resturant that was located on this road. Its called Austin's Bar and Grill. "Drove down this road looking for the music studio."

I decided one my week trip to Atlanta to ride with my cousin to the Atlanta Music Studio. I know I thought it was strictly a studio.Well at first I could tell this area was surrounded by trees and off in the back. Ok maybe it was a club? As i drove down Lenox Rd and we made a left I notice a building off to the right. It was actually a music studio and a club. It basically went on all day long!! My cousin actually went there to burn a demo so I really didn't partake of the club atmosphere, but the studio was nice. Hi Tech!

I forgot, anyways we turned on Jesse Hill Dr and I noticed the spectucular southern homes this city has to offer. The yards were beautiful and the convience of an off the path shopping plaza were quite pleasant.I would definitely want to live in this area of Atlanta. I would just travel to my parties in order to come back to this!
