"Busy street but great energy"
We straddle two good neighborhoods on this block -- Charles Village to the west and Remington to the east. Charles Village is home to Johns Hopkins University and the Baltimore Museum of Art (free with a gorgeous sculpture garden and a great collection of colorful art -- excellent for bringing bored toddlers who need to get out of the house and blow off some steam on rainy days), and there's a stretch of retail/dining establishments in reasonable walking distance. Remington is an up-and-coming working class neighborhood with a good feel -- not too many restaurants, but one local stand-out, the Papermoon Diner.
Think 1920s Baltimore rowhomes, wide porches perfect for summer porch parties and small backyards big enough for a little patch of grass or a great patio with a fireplace.
