"Family Neighborhood Living"

Gramercy/Peter Cooper Village is a safe neigborhood perfect for raising a family. I do recomend this location for seekers of the suburban life. The police academy is nearby along with schools and playgrounds. The river walk on Ave. C is convient and the views of the water and bridges are wonderful.

The Cons:
The noise from the FDR drive was constant and annoying but not nearly as annoying as the long walk to the subway. Taxi cabs are few and far between and the rents are expensive.

I would not recommend this location for busy professionals on the go.

"The Best of Both Worlds"

East 33rd Street between 2nd and 3rd ave. is a utopia of small town quaint living nestled inside the busy inner city. It is home to many young professionals that graviate fom Long Island. The buildings are mostly low rise town houses on a clean tree lined street. The air in this neighborhood is friendly and welcoming and safety is absolute due to the elementry school on this street.

It is a two minute walk to anything and everything you can possibly want or need, from the best pizza in town to coffee, gelato, movies, book Stores, fruit stands etc.

It is a perfect introduction to urban living.
