Upland truly has something for everyone, great schools, lots of shopping and restaurants, MetroLink service and easy access to the 10, 210 & 15 Freeways. I especially like the old Downtown area just off of Euclid where on Thursday evenings from April to October you can enjoy a great farmer's market, music, food and fun.

Upland is another city that Route 66 and citrus fruit helped to build. Be sure to visit the Sunkist Museum in Old Town to learn about the birth of Sunkist and the California Citrus industry. The quiet, tree lined streets and vibrant metropolitan areas happily coexist. And since Upland is just 1/2 hour from Mt. Baldy you can enjoy skiing in the winter and hikes in the hills all year long!

And, since Upland is located just inside the San Bernardino County border, Upland homes can be a great value too!

If you are looking for a neighborhood that the Brady's, Cleaver's or Partrige's would have fit right into, you are looking at Villanova Drive in beautiful Claremont. Located between a top rated elementary school and Blaisdale parke, Villanova is a great street to live on and I should know, I've lived there six years!

Most of the homes were built in 1950 or 1951and were part of one of the very first housing tracts constructed in Claremont after WWII.

I have lived in this city for six years now and my husband grew up here, moved away for a while and chose to move back. I enjoy the look and feel of Claremont. The quaint tree-lined streets (and as one of the "Tree Cities" with over 2,000,000 trees in the community it's hard NOT to find a tree-lined street), the neighborhood parks where young and old gather and the vibrant and thriving intellectual and artistic community are all features of this area that make it something special.

There aren't many communities in Southern California that still have 4th of July parades down the main street, kicked off by kids on their bicycles, babies in wagons folks just walking arm in arm all decked out in their patriotic best.

It is also the first place I've ever lived where neighbors really do have block parties, folks sit in their front yards watching their kids at play and enjoying each others company and many a summer's eve is spent on leisurely walks to the local ice cream parlor and candy store Burt & Rocky's, as much for the enticement of their homemade treats as it is for the beauty of the night.

Fall is heralded and welcomed with Village Venture (held on the last Saturday in October every year in the Downtown Village area) a huge craft fair and arts festival where they shut down the streets in the center of town to everything but foot traffic and folks come from far and wide to pick up unique gifts, listen to the musicians and enjoy seeing the kids and their pets in their Halloween costumes.

The vibe here is truly special. I love living in Claremont and really think anyone else would too!
