Church St
"One of the cutest and most pleasant streets in San Francisco"
I love Church street! It runs from around the Mission Dolores to Market Street. It is a beautiful street filled with boutiques and superb small restaurants. There is also a park off this street perfect for people with children or pets. Chirch Street is very close to a wonderful neigborhood;Noe Valley. The many times that I have been down this street I have never encountered any traffic whatsoever, however it is hard to find parking sometimes. There is a MUNI streetcar that conveniently runs along Church Street and can take you all the way downtown. This is perfect for people who decide not to drive. This street is very safe and clean. It is a great sight to see and there is something that everyone who visits can enjoy and appreciate this street. I highly recommend it to everyone.

19th Ave
"Always Congested and Chaotic"
19th Avenue is such a horrible street!! This is the main street that takes you to the Golden Gate Bridge. There is always traffic and it is also dangerous to walk across if you are a pedestrian. Many accidents and deaths have occured along this street because of all the cars. Overall, this is a very hectic street. The houses along 19th Avenue are relatively nice but I would not recommend living on this street because it is extremely difficult and dangerous to pull in and out of your garage. Also for families with children, such as mine it is scary to even let them go out to the front of the house alone. The house on the streets off of 19th Ave. are just as nice and in a calmer and safer location. The houses around this area are great for couples and retirees. 19th is a little chaotic to me for family with young children

San Bruno Ave
"Not too exciting to visit"
San Bruno Avenue is located in the Ingleside district and is close to the Baywiew/ Hunters Point area. It is not in the best area, so I would not get my hopes up about this street. There are many businesses along the strip of this street such as nail shops, hair salons, chinese food, mexican food, fast food, gas stations, grocery stores, banks, and even a library. All of these places are relatively cheap and not too fancy. There are two high schools located along cross streets at both ends of San Bruno Avenue. One is Phillip and Sala Burton and the other is Thurgood Marshall. There is a lot of foot traffic in the morning and afternoon as students arrive and depart from school. I wouldn't really recommend this street for living. There is no night life either along this street because it can be dangerous, so I wouldn't recommend it for singles at all.

San Bruno Ave. is *not* in the Ingleside District. It's in the Portola, and the neighborhood is fine. There are basic services (groceries, Walgreens, Radio Shack, restaurants, banks, etc.) along San Bruno Ave. The library is no longer located on San Bruno (brand new library is on Goettingen at Bacon). It's not a fancy neighborhood, but it's fine. Certainly safe along San Bruno Ave. during the day and early evening. No nightlife, but it's not because it's dangerous; this is just a very quiet suburban-like neighborhood.

Market St
"One of san francisco's most famous streets"
Market street is very well known and visited by many tourists. THis street starts from Portola Drive and runs down all the way to the piers.I have mixed feelings about this street. Some parts of Market Street are very nice and have plenty of stores and entertainment. There are also bad parts of Market Street that are more dangerous, full of homeless, drug addicts, and drug dealers. Market is not a consistently nice street and you have to be careful and try to stay in the safer parts. There is always a lot of foot and car traffic along this street since it is the center of our city's downtown. Although, this street is very convenient because it has a lot of public transportation passing through very often that can take you all over the city. I would recomment this street for couples and singles who don't mind some chaos and enjoy shopping. I would not recommend it to families with children or older people because it is an extremely hectic street.

Castro St
"Center of Gay Pride"
Castro street is famously known for its gay community. This street is very entertaining and never dull. There are plenty of fun stores and small restaurants. It is right of of market and is usually crowded. The houses in this area are beautiful! There is also two schools and a recreation center located a block away, parallel to Castro street. At night Castro can sometimes be a little crazy. Halloween on Castro is crazy and many stabbings have occured. Despite these incidents, Castro street is located in a nice and safe area. It is an interesting adventure visiting this street. I would recommend this street to couples and single but not to families with children or retirees who want a calm place to live.

Eucalyptus Dr
"Location of Lowell High School and Lakeshore Elementary"
This short street is the home to San Franicisco's magnet high school, Lowell. Just down the block is the Lakeshore Elementary. Along this same blick there is also a small and pleasant park with swimgs, a slide, and a small field area. Across the street from all these are just houses. The area is very quite during the day, but has a rush of people in the morning and in the afternoon. It is hard to find parking on this street for more than two hours, but there are many side streets with plenty of parking. Eucalyptus Drive is just a short walk away from Stonestown Shopping Galleria. It is also parallel to Ocean Street which has many stores available. Also near Eucalyptus Drive is Lakeshore shopping center, which includes store such as Noah's bagels, Ross, and Lucky's. Living on Eucalyptus is very convenient, especially if you have children you can enroll in the nearby schools. If not, it is still a great place to live if you like walking to places nearby. Lake Merced is just a block away parallel to Eucalyptus Drive. Overall, I really like this street.

Kezar Dr
"Small street that is center to many sports"
Kezar Drive is quite a small street, but it is the center of many of San Francisco's High School sports and more. Kezar Drive consists mostly of trees, grass, but is best known for its large stadium. Kezar stadium includes an indoor basketball court and a large football field with a running track around it. Kezar Stadium is almost always hosting a High School basketball game, football game, or track race. In the summer, adult basketball leagues have weekly games which are quite popular. If you enjoy watching sports then Kezar Drive is a great place to come watch sporting events for a cheap price or even free sometimes. It is a great place for family and friends to get together and have some fun watching some of our city's athletes in action.

"Nice neighborhood street, but not too fancy"
As a child I live on Cortland Avenue in Bernal Heights. This is the main street found in the Bernal Heights neighborhood. I like this street a lot because there are cafes, supermarkets, parks, and a library all located within a short distance from one another. This street promotes walking since there are so many interesting and enjoyable places to visit on every block. This is an ideal neighborhood for people with young children. Eveything you need is right near by and mostly everyone knows each other. There are some elementary schools located close to this area as well. This is a great area to raise a child and when I was young I very much enjoyed the public resources, such as the library that were located so close to home. Each year there is also a Bernal Heights Festival located along Cortland Avenue. During this celebration residents of the neighborhood along with others from all over San Francisco to enjoy the food and diversity of the neighborhood. This is a very tight- knit neighborhood. It is rare to find a neighborhood with such sense of community in a city as large as San Francisco

Chestnut St
"Take a stroll down Chestnut Street"
Chestnut Street is very calm and has a great vibe. Daily, many people can be seen walking up and down Chestnut Street visiting the restaurants, cafes, and clothing stores. This street offers a variety of stores and has something for everyone. From mexican food to italian food, banks, large retail stores, botiques, and much more. Everyone can leave this street satisfied with what it offers. It is located in a great area and is quite beautiful and clean. This area is also one of the sunniest areas in San Francisco which will add to your enjoyment. I have to mention, though, that since this area is so nice things are a bit on the pricier side. It's hard to find bargains on Chestnut Street, so if you plan to visit make sure you are willing to spend some money. Overall, this street is quite pleasant and I enjoy visiting it. I do not have any complaints.

Lyon St
"The Home of the Exploratorium"
This beautiful street is located in the Marina District and is the home of the amazing Exploratorium. This is one of the most beautiful and fun attractions in San Francisco. The Exploratorium is located in the Palace of Fine Arts. This is a perfect are to come take a walk around the pond or visit inside of the science museum. The heighborhood is beautiful and the houses are spectecular. Directly across from Lyon Street is Fort Mason and the beautiful San Francisco Bay. The Golden Gate Bridge is right next to this street and is a pleasant sight. Many bustling streets are located very closely such as Chestnut Street and Fillmore Street. One of George Lucas' film studios is located just a couple blocks away. This is an area that I would much recommend to everyone visiting San Francisco or all those living in the city that have never visited.

Belvedere St
"Overall Nice Street Close to Haight Street"
Belvedere Street is located in the Haight District. It is a relatively calm street with beautiful houses. One of the negative things about this street is that there little or no parking. Whenever I visit my friend who lives on this street it takes me forever to find parking, and once I finally find a spot I can only leave my car there for two hours. If you are visiting this street or consider moving into a house on this street, I would suggest to have as few cars, if any at all. It is such a hassle to live or visit this street and find a parking spot. If you dont have a car, there are many MUNI lines that pass near this street. Also, it is conveniently a walking distance from Haight Street. Along Haight Street there are many restaurants and clothing stores. Belvedere is a very residential street and yet it is very close to a bustling and popular area in San Francisco. This combination is ideal for those who like to live close to a busy area, yet still have a calm and typical residents

Ocean Ave
"Conveniently Located Street"
Ocean Avenue runs from around the Sunset District (Junipero Serra) all the way to Mission Street. It is conveniently located and easily accessible. Along Ocean Avenue there is access to freeway 280. There are also many schools located near or along Ocean Avenue such as Lowell High School, Aptos Middle School, City College of San Francisco, Balboa High School and Lick Wilmerding.
It is a very convenient areas for families, especially with kids to live in. There are stores and eateries on most blocks. There are also pharmacies, gas stations, fitness centers, nail salons, and many more places. It is truly perfect for anyone who enjoys walking. It is also a perfect area to live in if you do not drive. Multiple MUNI buses pass by Ocean Avenue, such as the 49, the K train, and the 43. These means of transportation also provide quick arrival to other surrounding neighborhoods and even downtown.
During the afternoon and the mornings Ocean Avenue gets very crowded with pedestrians and also automobiles. It is sometimes a little hectic during these times, but other than that it is generally pleasant.
There are conveniently houses located all along the streets that cross Ocean, some nicer than others though. Some houses are nicer than others, but it is a mixed neighborhood. It is a safe place to live or visit.

Mission St
"Heart of San Francisco's Latino Community"
San Francisco is made up of many diverse neighborhoods. Mission Street runs all across San Francisco and into the neighboring city of Daly CIty. It is essentially the oldest and most historical street in San Francisco. Yet, this street has been poorly cared for and has seemed to worsen throughout the years.
The part of Mission Street located near Downtown is very ugly and dangerous at night. It is full of old buildings and homeless people. Many sketchy people just stand along the street the whole day. If you go down Mission Street more towards cross streets like 16th Street and 24th Street, you hit the true heart of the Mission District. The streets here are packed with cars, people, and stores. It is very hectic to drive in this area, and personally I avoid driving here. There are always people J-walking and double parked cars. It takes a long time to find parking and most of it is metered. The streets are also very polluted and on some corners you might even see gang members.
Despite these bad aspects the Mission District does have much to offer. It is full of small stores for the most part and has several Authentic Latino restaurants. If you are ever craving a truly Latino meal, Mission Street is the place to go. You can get a range of different foods from countries such as Nicaragua, Brazil, Peru, El Salvador, Mexico and many more. The prices of the meals are very reasonable for their superb taste.
This area is also rich with dance studios that provide salsa lessons and many more traditional Latino dances. Every year the famous parade of Carnaval takes place in this area. It is a time when the whole city celebrates and embraces Mission and the different countries and cultures that have influenced the neighborhood. It is truly a unique experience.
Overall, Mission Street is always full with people and cars, though store generally close early. A trip to the Mission District will be a unique experience. You can truly get a feel for the Latin American culture in this neighborhood. Sadly, the city has not done a good job with its upkeep of Mission Street.
