"Lovely Neighbors"
Del Valle is an odd street, so close to both the 101 and Topanga/Ventura yet somehow it manages to feel quaint and small town. The neighbors on our block are always gathering outside to socialize, a rarity in Woodland Hills and Los Angeles in general. They are mostly young couples, another suprise since Woodland Hills is mostly God's waiting room. I still haven't completely adjusted to having the people who live around us be so outgoing. We escaped the LA housing market and are currently just renting, but when the market changes enough to prompt us back into ownership I would love to find a place right here to buy.
My only gripe about the street, major gripe, is that the woman who lives next door is constantly shreiking at her kids. It's the abusive, nasty kind of screaming that makes me want to call child protective services or the police. The house is for sale and I have my fingers crossed.
