I have lived in this area for 10 years now. I have owned a home here for 7 years. A lot has changed here in that time. Many new people have moved in giving the area a more vibrant diverse feel. Being just blocks west of Bay View and 5 minutes to the Third Ward we enjoy all the food and shopping of a hip and trendy neighborhood with out the price tag. You can get a lot of house for your money here.You can enjoy a quality of life seldom found this close to downtown Milwaukee without dropping the big bucks.

The street is clean and safe. No cookie cutter houses here! A good mix of duplexes ( mostly owner occupied) and single family homes that are kept in good condition. 8th street has been good to me. Many of the people here bought thier first home here and ended up wanting to stay after a few years, myself included. 8th street is very much like other side streets in this area. In the warmer months the weekends and evenings bring people out for walks with kids and dogs in tow, as well as backyard gatherings with friends and family.
