"Quiet street"
Of course, I am biased. Street consist mainly of twins in the 1200-1300 blocks and singles in the 1400-1600 blocks. Quiet and green, a typical Mount Airy block.

- Clean
Cons
- Proximity to Germantown

"Not West Mount Airy..."
But is a very good area. Lacking is access to the Wissahickon (You would need a car to do that if you live there), but is still very lovely, clean and green. East Mount Airy is geographically larger than West Mount Airy so more real estate is available. Homes are a little less expensive, but climbing in value. Home stock consists of row homes to twins to mansions. Not as diverse as West Mount Airy, but is still diverse, specifically as you go towards Chestnut Hill. The area between Septa's R7 and Stenton Avenue is particularly nice. "Problem" areas to avoid are between Germantown, Gorgas, Chew and Johnson and the very North Eastern "Tip" (Around Stenton and Washington Lane)
Pros
- affordable
- diverse
- Leafy green trees
Cons
- constantly being compared to West Mt. Airy
- some trouble spots near Germantown Avenue
