"Once Peaceful - Now a main drag between Kennesaw and Woodstock"
Wade Green Road runs between Highway 92, crosses over and has entrance and exit ramps to/from I-75, and changes to Cherokee Street as it passes over the Interstate, winding into Kennesaw. Having lived off of this road for 13 years, I have seen it change from a wooded lane with a few sub-divisions and one plaza to a highly traveled thoroughfare between Woodstock and Kennesaw. It has most fast-food restaurants, including McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Arbys, etc., as well as several strip plazas and a Publix grocery store.
There are not many properties right ON Wade Green Road, as it is primarily commercial now. Wildwood Baptist Church bought the beautiful farm that once had horses and has a large barn and wooded acreage. Pitner elementary school was also built on Wade Green Road five years ago, and traffic in the morning can get crazy with buses traveling to and from the school, and commuters trying to get on I-76. But the elementary school is very good, so it is a good area for families to look for a house to rent or buy.
