Are there any local music groups, festivals or activities in the village of Wappinger Falls?

If you want to scout out local music groups in Wappingers Falls, go to Alto Music, a great music store on Rt 9, and the local hub of all things musical. The biggest festival (including music) near WF would be the Clearwater Festival, held in June in Croton-on-Hudson, about 45 minutes south. Poughkeepsie, just north of WF, is loaded with music venues: Waryas Park, The Bardavon Opera House, Mid-Hudson Civic Center, The Loft, and The Chance Theater. There are lots of local eateries that occasionally feature live music, as well.
