Wappinger has an active Senior Citizen Center, which provides an impressive list of events, classes, and activities for those aged 60 and above. The Town also offers regularly scheduled bus trips which are popular with seniors, which depart from and eventually return to Town Hall. Scheduled this year are one to the Sands Hotel & Casino in Bethlehem, PA; one to see “Sister Act” at the Broadway Theatre in Manhattan; one to a Mets vs. Dodgers game in Queens; one to see “Wicked;” and one to the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City. Summer concerts at Schlathaus Park are also well attended by seniors.
