Washington Ave
"Washington Ave-where the music is"
One of my favorite streets in Miami Beach is Washington Avenue. There is just so much to offer on this street. Washington Avenue runs from The Abe Resnick Causeway aka Venetian way down to south of Alton Road. The most common area though of Washington Avenue would be around 15th to 18th street. Here you will find much to do. If you are looking for a great live show of a national act, whether it be rock music, comedy or symphony, the Jackie Gleason theater, here on the corner of Washington and 17th street, is where you will find it. Walking across the street, if hunger strikes, you will find a vast array of great food. Pizza Rustica is an awesome place to grab a beer or soda and a slice of real, authentic, fresh as could be pizza. The options of the type of pizza to choose are endless and you may just end up with more than one slice! You will also find a little cuban restaurant here and a couple of vintage shops or two to poke around in while you wait for your show to begin. All in all, this part of Washington Ave is the place to be if you are visiting North Miami Beach.
