Where's the closest place to go Cross Country skiing, and is there any lighted courses nearby?

Lake Elmo Park Reserve has great ski trails and offers lit trails. another area with lighted trails is Elm Creek Park Preserve in Maple Grove. They also have snow making there, so if Mother Nature doesn't cooperate, you are still able to ski. Otherwise, Washington County offers groomed trails at a few of their other parks, including Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park, and St Croix Bluffs Regional Park. Think Snow!
