Is the public transportation from Washington Park in Chicago ok?

Washington Park isn't too bad for public transportation, though I took a bus here once and it was kinda uncomfortable and dirty. Granted, most are at least a little dirty, but this was an exceptional case. You should be fine to get where you need to go, but stop by Washington Park first and actually try out the buses or trains to see how you like them.
