Washington Park, Chicago - good neighborhood for singles?

Washington Park is not a great area for singles in my opinion. It's close to some really rough neighborhoods like Woodlawn, and the crime rate there is a bit too high. Also, there aren't a ton of friendly bars around. I'd look elsewhere.

Washington Park has some crime issues and several areas to avoid, so it may not be that good for all singles. Depending on what you're looking for, Washington Park does have a large and beautiful park (its namesake) and some festivals worth checking out. All in all, it's still a little unsafe for my liking.
