West 117th St, Morningside Heights

W 117th st, west of the Morningside Park is the heart of Columbia University and Barnard College. If you’re in the area, a notable Columbia building to see is St. Paul’s Chapel, which is utterly gorgeous. If you’re there during the weekends, you’ll probably see a wedding going on in the chapel, since it’s a popular place for affiliates of Columbia to get married. The Columbia Law school is located on W 117th and Amsterdam.

Though lacking in terms of awesome food selection, this street is beautiful! I really enjoyed walking through, there were tons of people shopping and plenty going on. This neighborhood is very diverse and filled with life. I think as you ascend Manhattan you really begin to see how diverse the city is in every way!
