Hello BroncoFan (great year to be a fan!), Westminster has many festivals throughout the year but three in particular stand out for me. 1) is the Westminster Faire at city park which is typically held near the end of the summer months. They have many free events throughout the day suitable for all age ranges. The Faire typically has bands playing, dance shows, dogs shows, food, vendors and last year they even had the "flight for life" helicopter land in the middle of the soccer fields. 2) The 4th of July show, also at city park, is also a blast. Unfortunately, due to the drought this past summer, the fireworks were canceled. They still have bands and food to make it a festive and safe environment. In years past, the city puts on quite an impressive fireworks display and the views are amazing as you can literally lay on the grass fields and watch the fireworks explode overhead. 3) The Holiday lighting ceremony held at City Hall is also a treat. Last year after attending this event, my wife and I marveled with how much fun it was. Westminster, by no means is a small town, however, this event had small town charm and perks throughout the night. Christmas/holiday lights were abundant and what better way to view them then by taking a free horse drawn sleigh ride as everyone sings carols while sipping hot chocolate. I am excited for this already!
