"An Awesome Place to Live"
Woodbridge, NJ is a rather large surburban city with a small town feel.
A 90 minute ride from NYC, Woodbridge seems to be worlds away as far as community spirit and hometown comforts. During the summer there is no end to the carnivals, street fairs and other family orientented activities.
But just outside of the residential area is one of the largest shopping areas in this part of the state. Woodbridge is home to two huge malls (Menlo Park & Woodbridge Center) in addition to any number of of stores along US 1 & 9.
We have found the locals to be very friendly. Many of our new neighbors came out to meet us when we moved in, which was certainly unexpected in this day and age. Everyone that we have met are regular hard working professionals, many of whom commute to NYC daily.
The town's services are very good as well. Any issues that we have has are quickly and efficiently resolved. Our trash and recycled items are picked up on time and very quietly, a indulgence we certainly haven't had in other towns we have lived in.
All in all, we are very pleased with Woodbridge. There is plenty to do on the weekend, the neighbors are nice and we feel very safe. We would recommend it to anyone who likes a quiet lifestyle.
