11th St
"More for Residents"
11th St. in Miami is in the Art Deco area. I went there to visit the popular 11th St. Diner (which is actually on the corner of 11th and Washington), which has a cool 50’s modern feel. While in Miami I was looking for good, cheap food, and I was sent to this area. 11th St. is small, at least the section I was in, and it’s a pretty quiet area. At the end of the road you can walk straight onto the beach. The area is more for residents of Miami than visitors. The street has a few shops – tattoo parlor, liquor shop, shoe store… There’s a closed down hotel. It looks like it’s being renovated, but it’s a neat place to be just to relax and get away from all of the hustle and bustle of the party scene.
