"Charming Housing Development in Fast Growing Suburb"
This street runs through a small residential housing development in Hugo, MN. Hugo is the Metro Area's fastest growing suburb, and the growth is visible. Houses under construction and brand new houses for sale can always be seen nearby. The neighborhood is clean and safe, an excellent place to live. In contrast to the growth, much of the area's original marshland remains. Ponds, swamps, and prairie grass give this suburb a more out-doorsy feel.
The only detractor to Hugo is, despite its growth, shopping has failed to keep up with the area. A grocery store, pizza place, and Subway sandwich shop are about the only things in the city proper. The large White Bear Lake and Forest Lake are reasonably close by, excusing this small inconvenience.
As a note, this street was the hardest struck by the devastating 2008 tornado. The disaster drew the community much closer, and at the time of writing, most houses destroyed in the tornado are almost completely rebuilt.
