201st St
"Good for families"
201st street is a largely residential area, however it does offer it's residents great conveniences. It is a quiet area, but it is close to Francis Lewis Boulevard affording residents the ability to walk or drive down to the major street for shopping convenience. Major Grocery chains and smaller specialty stores are all within short driving distance. While it's close to the major roads it is quiet and parking is generally easy to come by, something that is more than a luxury in Queens, it's almost a miracle. Overall it's a great neighborhood for a family that still needs to be close to the city.
Singles probably won't be impressed as a night life is less than stellar, but overall it's a nice place to call home.

"Clean and quiet residential street."
I have lived on 201 street nearly 23 years now and seen some turnover of neighbors. The street is qieut and clean. The people care about how the block looks. It is mostly residential with front and back yards. One to two family homes north of Rocky Hill road, some multi family house south of Northern Blvd. Some private offices for accountants, doctor/Dentist. Good transportation and schools within walking distance here. For dining, BKNY Thai resturant is around the corner, a bit pricey, but good food. Chinese takeouts and piza abound nearby as well as any supermarket you could want. Overall a great place to live for a couple or a family.
Although Francis Lewis Blvd is nearby, noise is minimal, but there is the occasional car speeding done the block (Rarely). Parking is ample, I have never had a problem with 1 car in the driveway and 1 on the street. Neighbors are friendly but not nosey, which I think is great. The only drawback is during snowstorms. It seems we are one of the last blocks to see the plows.

"On 201st Street"
201st Street could be better. The street itself was a bit run down, and not all that great to look at. The traffic was heavy and there was quite a bit of noise. It also wasn’t convenient. All in all, I wouldn’t put this list on a top ten of places to live in the city.
